HORNET H.E.R.O. ASSEMBLY
Each month we celebrate students in our classrooms who show fantastic Honesty, Empathy, Respect, and being On Task. If you student is nominated, we encourage you to come and join us as we celebrate their H.E.R.O. behavior!
Volunteer Opportunities
We love having parents and family members join us in the Hazel Grove community! We often have volunteer opportunities for adults to come into the school and help out teachers or interact with classrooms. If you are interested in participating, contact your teacher or the school office, either via phone or in person.

Classroom Grandparent:
If you are retired and would like to have a great new way to occupy your day, consider joining us as a classroom grandparent.
Multilingual grandparents especially wanted!
Help with office work:
We are looking for adults who would like to help with filing papers, compiling binders, making copies, and assisting with other office tasks.

Enrollment and Parental Consent
Stay up to date on school enrollments and parental/guardian consent information. With field trips and other exciting activities happening all the time, it's important to check with your student every day about announcements and permission slips. You don't want them missing out on all the cool learning experiences available. (Most forms will be sent home in both Spanish and English.)

MySAEBRS STUDENT TESTING
All students need parental/guardian consent to participate in MySAEBRS testing. Teachers will be reaching out to families to instruct on this. Read here for more information on the subject:
SUMMER SCHOOL ENROLLMENT
Summer may feel ages away, but the truth is we're already more than half way through the 2022-2023 school year. So get ahead of the rush and get signed up for summer school now.

Q. Where can I find a school calendar?
A. You can find the Hazel Grove calendar here, and find the KCKPS district calendar here.
Q. Is there tutoring available outside school?
A. Yes! There are tutoring options for before and after school. Contact our office to learn more.
Q. Where can I find a menu for school breakfasts and lunches?
Q. How can I change my child's pick-up routine?
A. If you change your child's pick-up routine, you must call or visit the school office to clear the new plan with the school. We recommend you do this at least the day before. If you do not inform the school of the change, your student must following their normal routine.
Also, if an adult is sent to pick up your child, they must be on our preapproved list. If they are not, the child will not be allowed to leave with them.

Q. What should I do if my student is having social/emotional issues at school?
A. Firstly, we recommend speaking with your child's teacher. Depending on the situation, they may help you get in contact with one of our school counselors.
